Environment America’s (environmentamerica/org) major findings on multiple industries dumping are following:
-Pollution from just five states
(Indiana, Virginia, Nebraska, Texas, and Georgia)
–The Ohio River received 32 million of the total:

-Food & beverage manufacturing
(slaughter houses, rendering plants, etc.)
-Industries discharged 1.5 million pounds of cancer-causing chemicals
(Arsenic, chromium, and benzene)
-90 % of the total volume discharged could be toxic to infants.
